DATABASE

Novelist – an excellent resource for fiction readers. When you can’t remember a title or you’re looking for similar books use this!

Morningstar - an investment research center

  • In-house – for users accessing from inside the Coos Bay Public Library (you will need to enable pop-ups in your browser).
  • From home – for users accessing from outside the library building (you will need to enable pop-ups in your browser).

  • Auto Repair Reference Center – Extensive collection of automotive reference data
  • Heritage Quest- genealogy research for Library users
    • HISTORICAL NEWSPAPERS - a list of all the local newspapers that are available through the public libraries in Coos County.
  • Sanborn Maps – 695 large-scale maps of 176 Oregon towns
  • Gale and Infotrac databases – an extensive collection of databases covering everything from kiddie resources to acadamia. Even culinary and gardening interests are covered!

COOS COUNTY LITERACY COUNCIL

This literacy program is part of Oregon Literacy, which has as its goal to facilitate the highest quality literacy services for adult learners. The program is run completely by volunteers.
