Search engines and subject guides for finding information on the Internet.
  • KidsClick- 1,800 records for Internet resources of interest to kids that have been selected, annotated and categorized by a team of librarians to provide flexible and fast access to the best that the Internet has to offer kids of all ages. Records can be browsed in major categories, sub-categories, or specific subjects.
  • Ask Jeeves for Kids- Berkeley-based search engine now has a site for kids, which includes good links on how to navigate the web.
  • Yahoo! Kids- Kids’ version of Yahoo.
  • Kids’ Search Tools- Designed for web searchers ages 7-12.
  • Surfing the Net with Kids- Weekly column rates and reviews five fun educational Web sites on various topics.
For Kids and Parents Too: IPL2 -  Over 3500 sites collected for use in public libraries, the result of a merger of the Internet Public Library and the Librarians’ Internet Index.
