1. CALL TO ORDER
President Jon Littlefield called the meeting to order at 5:15 p.m. in the Myrtlewood Room. Board members present were Curt Benward, Joyce Day, Steve Metz, Jeanette Owens, Larry Plews, and Rondi Potter. Council Liaison Roger Gould was not able to attend. Friends of the Library President Marie Benton, other Friends members, and Capital Campaign Committee members were present. Staff members present were Ellen Thompson, and Carol Ventgen. 2. MINUTES AND CIRCULATION REPORT Rondi moved, Steve seconded, approval of the minutes for the June 20, 2007 meeting. The motion carried unanimously. The circulation report for June was accepted as distributed at the meeting.3. TREASURER’S REPORT The report was accepted as distributed. 4. CORRESPONDENCEThere was no correspondence. 5. PUBLIC COMMENTSThere were no public comments. 6. LIBRARIAN’S REPORTThere was no report. 7. FRIENDS OF THE LIBRARY REPORTMarie reported that the special July paperback one-day sale brought $944.05. The next regular sale will be August 4 and 5. 8. OLD BUSINESSa. Phase 1 Building Project – Implementation of the project still awaits availability of architect Rich Turi to prepare the bid drawings. All of his projects are a month behind due to staffing problems in his firm. He will soon have a more definite timeline, but worst case, he says, is end of August.The remainder of the Library Board meeting was suspended so that Board members could join with other members of the Capital Campaign Committee to discuss strategic planning for the library. 11. ADJOURNMENT The meeting was adjourned at 5:30 p.m. Due to summertime absences, the August meeting will be cancelled.Respectfully submitted,
